Andrea Voulgaris (Clarklake, MI) currently resides in the Ann Arbor area where she teaches saxophone lessons and actively performs as a soloist and chamber musician. Andrea received both her Specialist in Saxophone Performance (2017) and Masters in Saxophone Performance (2016) degrees from the University of Michigan. During her time at UM, she studied with the Grammy award winning and international soloist, Dr. Timothy McAllister. She received her Bachelor in Music Performance (2014) degree from Grand Valley State University where she studied with Dr. Dan Graser of the Donald Sinta Quartet and Dr. Jonathan Nichol of H2 Quartet. While living in Jackson County, Andrea attended Jackson High School and Columbia Central.

During her Masters degree, Andrea was very active in solo and chamber music competitions. As a soloist, Andrea won the MTNA Solo Competition for woodwinds in the state of Michigan (2015). She was also a member of the Eero Saxophone Quartet who took home first prize in UM’s Dale and Nancy Briggs Chamber Music Competition (2015) and third prize in the National MTNA Chamber Music Competition (2016).
