Joanne holds a Bachelor and Master of Music in Piano Performance from Western Michigan University where she studied with Phyllis Rappaport and David Pocock. While at WMU, Joanne taught music theory, ear training and sight singing courses. Joanne also studied with Walter Hautzig at the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Conn.
With over 25 years of experience, Joanne integrates solid problem solving techniques into her lessons. This gives her students the confidence of knowing exactly what to do when practicing at home. Joanne’s students enjoy her enthusiastic teaching style and look forward to their recitals.
