Steve Shelhart has been teaching guitar professionally for over 30 years.
He works with students of all levels, from those learning basic music reading skills to advanced players exploring complex music theory and its application on guitar.
Steve specializes in lead rock guitar styles from the ’70s, ’80s, and beyond, while also incorporating elements of country, jazz, and the essential blues techniques that form the foundation of every great guitarist’s playing.
In addition to electric guitar, Steve teaches fingerpicking on acoustic guitar as well as beginning and intermediate classical guitar.
Steve is passionate about helping students set and achieve small, attainable goals that build confidence and lead to continued musical growth.
