Robert McCloy has been a full time musician since 1981, and started teaching guitar, mandolin, and fiddle in the fall of 1979. In addition to years of teaching at Elderly Instruments in Lansing, he has taught at Lansing Community College, MSU Evening College, and Miller Music (Holt, MI). He has conducted workshops and seminars at numerous festivals, arts organizations, and more. Students have ranged from beginners to advanced, ages 4 – 84. Robert has performed in a variety of bands over the years including folk, bluegrass, Celtic, pop country, swing, and jazz. Currently, he remains active as a classical and jazz guitar soloist.
