Genette Gillard has a degree in Education and Fine Arts from Michigan State University as well as a Masters Degree.
She studied voice with Barbara Born and Julia Lindsay.
She has studied, singing technique, voice, pitch, choir and sight singing at the Midwest Music Educators Conference at University of Michigan.
She has attended workshops in early childhood Education, Orff, and Kodaly at Central Michigan University.
She taught vocal music in the St. Joseph Public Schools, organized a district wide honors choir, planned and directed many musical productions as well as being the director for the High School Musicals.
She has served as Music Director for Pilgrim Congregational Church, Arbor Grove Congregational Church, and St. Pauls Episcopal Church.
She recently was an adjunct music professor at Spring Arbor University for vocal music.
She has taught private voice for many years, adults and students.
She has performed many major works as a featured soloist in Michigan and England, and South West Florida Symphony.
