Dominic Occhietti is currently in the third year of his undergraduate music performance studies at MSU. Originally from Iron Mountain, MI, Dominic is passionate about making classical music more widely accessible around the state. Whether doing outreach through his brass quintet or working with students one-on-one, he believes in the power of music to bring people together for better.
At MSU, Dominic has played in the top ensembles, including both Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he is a member of the honors brass quintet The Partials (formerly the Impounded Birds), with which he has conducted a residency at the Burcham Hills Retirement Community and performed around the Lansing area. He has taught in a variety of settings, ranging from school band camps and sectionals to private lessons- and even ski lessons for toddlers!
