Summer 2018

Our 8-week Summer Session is June 18-August 17, 2018. You can sign up for between 1-8 weeks, depending on your schedule. Please talk to your teacher about their availability this summer or call the CMS office.

CMS Summer Office Hours

Monday, Tuesday 10a-7p

Wednesday, Thursday 10a-4p (no private lessons may be scheduled)

Friday, 10a-5:30p

Private Lessons

  • 30 minute lessons are only $21.50 each
  • 45 minute lessons are only $32.25 each
  • 60 minute lessons are only $43 each

Summer private lessons may be scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday only. We do not currently offer monthly payment plans for summer session. Full payment for total number of private lessons (maximum eight) or classes is required at the time of enrollment.  No refunds or credits will be offered for individually missed classes or lessons, OR after 50% of the overall enrollment period.


2018 Summer String Teams – $70 for 8 weeks ($8.75 a class!)

We are so pleased to be able to offer multiple Downtown String Team classes this summer. Classes meet once a week. Please visit the String Team page for complete information on this affordable, fun violin class!

1st year, taught by Sarah Patterson – Thursday, 1:00-1:45p (8 weeks)

2nd year, taught by Daniela Cruz – Monday, 5-5:45p (5 weeks, with possible continuation up to 8 weeks)

3rd year, taught by Sipkje Pesnichak – Wednesday, 2-2:45p (8-weeks)


Maestro’s Baby Musicians – $50 for 8 weeks ($6.25 a class!)

Taught by Sarah Patterson

This class is an interactive class for infants from birth to 23 months with a caregiver. While having fun and bonding with your child, we will also be fostering a love for music and creating a foundation for future musical study and appreciation. Come sing, cuddle, clap, and dance with us!

Adult Guitar Class – $100 for 8 weeks

Taught by Robert “Bob” McCloy

This class is geared toward adult beginners who want to learn this popular and versatile instrument! Led by faculty Robert McCloy, he will cover the basics of technique, chord reading, and pick technique. This is your opportunity to learn this awesome instrument in a fun setting with others! Don’t miss out! Students will need a guitar in playable condition.
