Ji Hyun Kim

The Korean-born violinist Ji Hyun Kim’s wide-ranging career has encompassed work as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, and educator. As an acclaimed soloist and chamber musician, Kim has made numerous media appearances worldwide and performed and competed in major cities of South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and the United States. She attained Bachelor of Music Performance with honors from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Australia and completed her Masters and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees under Walter Verdehr at MSU. Currently, Kim is an assistant professor of violin and viola at Spring Arbor University and is the artist-teacher in residence of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra.
